By public demand...I hope

I could say that these lambs were so cute that I couldn't resist taking
their picture but that's really only half the story.
It was beautiful and sunny for most of the day, or at least for the part of the
day that I was stuck in an office. As I went to get our morning coffee and
muffins (thanks to our boss who had the winner in the Grand National at the weekend)
I thought it was the sort of day that it's good to be alive. A glimpse of blue skies at
lunch time had been planning to head to the hills this evening but sure enough,
by the time I had finished dinner, clouds had appeared for the first time in a week
so I just settled for the easy option of snapping these lambs before going for a walk.
Many people have asked about the coloured markings on the sheep and lambs - and
yes, these are brands used by farmers so that they can identify their flocks when
the sheep are put up on the mountains to graze.

They're so appealing. I fear I'd spend all my time just watching them.

A beautiful shot indeed. They are growing and so delightful, hope they will only be giving up their wooly coats.
I hope you get a walk in the sun soon. V

It's nice to see them chasing each other around and then suddenly leaping into the air, which is something i've never seen captured, it would need someone who lived next to a field of them I think.!
Wooly Jumpers I think they're called :O)

Pity about the one mooning the camera, but s/he's too close for you to have done anything about that with cropping. The pair on the left make for a particularly cute image, as if there's a shared secret happening. But the slightly "out of field" one in the background adds something to the composition as well.
