Foul Weather

We've had so much rain and snow these last few days that the fields
are muddy and flooded.
These poor lambs look as though they could do with Wellington Boots
to keep their feet clean and dry.
Just a quick shot on the way home from work. Sometimes I wonder why
I carry a camera around with me all day when I end up grabbing
a shot at the last minute.

Nikon D90
1/400s f/5.6 at 105.0mm iso400 full exif

I think they've spotted you! You've answered your own question - if you didn't have the camera in the car, you wouldn't be able to take shots like this one! Rule Number One - always carry a camera!!
borisalex03-Apr-2010 04:54
They wonder where spring is...!! Nice candid shot!

Muddy lambs make fine wool, great image

What a mess, poor lambs. They would be dry here, but there's nothing to graze on.
carol j. phipps03-Apr-2010 02:08

We've all learned that you can't take a picture without a camera... :)
Cindi Smith02-Apr-2010 23:53
The sheep don't seem to mind. I just love sheep!
Jola Dziubinska02-Apr-2010 23:23
Nice family scene, but is Ms. Sheep a lonely parent?

Lambs for Eastern.Well shot.V!
Johnny JAG02-Apr-2010 06:18
They are big and chunky enough that the rain won't be a problem.
Colin Storey02-Apr-2010 05:41

slhoornstra02-Apr-2010 05:27
But these lambs are so lovely. I once saw some wearing white pajamas at the state fair!! V

Because if you didn't, there would be a spectacular shot right in front of you, you'd reach for your camera (which wasn't there), and the "Noooooo!" that would follow would be heard even on this side of the world. But last minute or not this is still a cute "ovine family portrait" shot, and well arranged.
