Facebook face

I've only recently become mildly interested in Facebook. I don't feel the need to post regular status updates but I value the opportunities it gives to contact people with whom you've lost touch. I've chatted to an old school friend living in Germany, renewed correspondence with a Norwegian friend who lived in the States and has recently returned to her native country, and I've exchanged updates with my sisters-in-law about the relative snowfalls in Ireland and Manchester (they were unimpressed by our paltry amount). And of course, I can also chat with friends from Pbase.
I noticed today that people were being asked to use an old photograph of themselves for their profile pic so I thought I'd join in. Naturally this is an extremely low-tech reproduction of an old photograph of me as a toddler showing an early interest in the world of newspapers. (Why didn't I stick with my original ambition of marrying a farmer with a hundred cows? I sometimes wonder.)
The picture was obviously taken long before the era of Baby Gap or Benetton for kids. Looking at my clothes, a jumper most likely knitted by my mother and an apron cut down from one of my granny's,
Anyway, in the absence of anything better to use for by PAD, I'm posting it here as well.

Not much creativity involved in milking cows, but I see the imagination of a little princess, ready to spin let's pretend gold, in this photo. A very sweet childhood memory, Mairead. Thank you for sharing.

already you look a scamp...but those clothes do look cosy...an infectious smile radiates here too..and an auspicious prop of a newspaper...more stimulating and less strenuous in the end to conjure up an article than to milk 100 cows...V

Looks like someone used a very old camera and film to capture this - looks a couple of generations older. A really nice feel to this.
