Frozen

It's been trying to snow here for the past couple of days, with flurries of small flakes which
melt as soon as they hit the ground. There is a dusting of snow on the mountains but
probably because we're so close to the coast, below sea level in fact, we haven't had
any significant snowfalls in years. I can remember heavy snow when I was a child which
sometimes led to us having days off schools and again shortly after I started working but
it's a long time since we've had snow of any depth.
It is cold though, colder than it's been for many winters.
These leaves were frozen in a layer of ice in a pot from the garden and I like how
the ice sparkled in the later afternoon sun.

Beautifully captured, magical and sparkly it is. V

I think if it were all covered with snow it still wouldn't look this cold! Frigid, even in the bright sun.

We've had a long cold spell here as well. Great capture!

I love beech leaves, so colourful even in the depths of winter - perfect light & exposure!
