A note of desperation

There's a note of desperation to today's pic. With the dark wet miserable days of our Irish winter, being
stuck behind a desk from 9 to 5, I've finding it increasingly more difficult to come up with a fresh image every day.
I know lots of people do so I shouldn't whine.
In spite of the advances of new technology, a notebook and pen are still the essential tools of the trade for
journalists. I've developed my whole brand of shorthand over the years which bears little resemblance to the Gregg
that I learned at college but it serves my needs. I prefer to take notes rather than using a voice recorder (unless I think there's a real danger of being sued!) as I think you learn to filter what's important and what's not when writing
notes.

A fascinating image, actually showing so little but implying a whole world of activity. Wonderfully well done!

Well done! The macro and close up work is a great help at times like this. This is a very effective image.

Ah, taking notes is something I'm completely hopeless at! I'll take a pen and some paper and come back with three words and a rubbish doodle! Two of the words are often 'bored'!

I'm glad it is dark outside and you have to take photos indoors. This beauty is why! Love it!! V

Great story and shot of the notebook, its difficult when you leave home in the dark and get home in the dark, but your doing a great job with your PAD shots.

Do you not find folk run a mile when the pad comes out? I gave a few of the Monthly challenges a shot about this time last year, it helped a little, and it can drive you well out of your comfort zone.
