18-OCT-2009

Drove up into the mountains today. It was misty and overcast - our Indian Summer is over.
I got a few images of the clouds rolling over the mountains and cows grazing in autumn
coloured fields. But this is the one which intrigued me the most. It's probably the journalist
in me but I can help wondering at the story behind this abandoned mobile home, high
in the mountains, near the local beauty spot known as 'The Long Woman's Grave'. Who
lived there and why did they leave? It the cows knew, they didn't tell me.

Looks a fine spot for a weekend retreat.......just wonder how they got it up there!!

Could be a deluxe mobile cowshed, hence the cows not saying anything ;-)

Cows are often very reluctant to reveal what they're thinking. LOL It's a beautiful spot for rumination!

Beautiful scene. I always wonder about abandoned buildings, too! V

perhaps it is a retreat for staff from the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs...certainly it is an admirable spot for a bit of reflection and strategic planning...V
