Sunset to the rescue

Sunset to the rescue

I was really stuck for a picture for my PAD until I looked out the window and realised that there was a beautiful sunset outside. If truth be told, I was really hoping to keep sunsets in reserve for days when I don't get the chance to shoot anything better but why look a gift horse in the mouth?
Even though I'm on holidays today, it didn't prove a good day for taking photographs. First of all it was dull and overcast, secondly our son was off school as he's got a bad cough (not swine flu), and last but not least, I was feeling lazy and uninspired.
Plans for doing something exciting gave way to the realisation that I would have to settle for doing something boring. So, I sorted out my wardrobe, packed away the summer clothes, gathered a bag of our son's outgrown clothes for donating to a charity shop, and tackled the mountain of ironing which never seems to get any smaller.
Tomorrow, hopefully, will be more exciting.

Lovely red sky. Sounds like a very productive day for someone who felt lazy and uninspired. You accomplished your chores and got a beautiful addition for your PaD. Good work! :)

What a wonderful end to a productive day. A suitable reward for tackling the dull tasks.

I just wish for a sunset around here. Nothing but gray overcast skies most days :-( Nicely done.

Seems you get loads done on your holidays!! Great way to finish the day - and they're not that common, so grab 'em when you can :o)

Funny I did the same thing. But I drove around in the car for ages to get the shot, the view from my window isn't so great. Nice work
