Resolution

Resolutions for 2008

• To practise what I’ve read in the books I’ve bought –hence the notebook!
• To lose my reluctance to learn properly the use of layers in Photoshop
• To shoot the moon
• To take candids of strangers with their permission
• To conquer my sense of the ridiculous when I try to take SPs
• To leave a little fuel in my energy reserve tank!

Nikon D50
1/60s f/5.0 at 70.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

interesting - 4 (#'s 1,2,4,6) of your 6 2008 resolutions are very similar to my 2011 resolutions... :) How did it go - manged to achieve them?

Regards from Cape Town

A fine resolution, Màire - but don't forget you can also ask for help here on Pbase. There are so many folk who have experience and are generously willing to share it.

Aren't we all just a bit ridiculous--we photographers.

I think a sense of the ridiculous in a photographer is a good thing...

Very sound proposals Maire... but don't forget to throw the rule book away every once in a while though!!

"Conquer your sense of the ridiculous when you take an SP" AND "shooting the moon" could produce a very interesting photo.

Great resolutions. I have other books, but my resolutions should be the same as yours.

When I hear that someone who shoots as well as you is still striving to improve, I realize how very far I have to go.
Great resolution.

I have almost all of those and they have been a great help. You are coming along fine, these will only add to your arsenal. Happy New Year.
