Dining outdoors in Dublin

In town today to meet a friend for lunch in the Italian Quarter. This mural, which caused some controversy when it first appeared, is near where we were. The builder Michael Wallace, a confirmed Italophile, is responsible for this little corner of Dublin.

Thanks for this one! It gave me a smile, and although I can understand the controversy I don't think that any disrespect was intended; it's just a fun piece of art!

i love it! there's the guy reading his newspaper, the women on the other side, enjoying lunch, and then, in the painting, there's one with dreadlocks, a few women (gasp!!), a suit, and last but not least, a red porcelain teapot. how totally delightful!
