is this too tricky, i.e. fun w/ photoshop
i'm completely unclear as to whether i like this way of
playing or not. Something in me believes that a good image
needs no trickery and yet...there's something
charming about all that softness...
i'm interested in hearing opinions pro and con.

It's interesting to see the side-by-sides. I tend to like the originals because the colors are so rich. I also prefer hard edges, except in certain situations. I do love the melon image tinted though...
I personally think the mono with a touch of color is
quite creative. The originals are very nice as well.
Sometimes it's better but I prefer the original overall. Too often the softened photo looks more like something out of an advertising brochure. I LOVE your photography. Your love of color! Thanks for sharing. :o)
Youve produced some interesting images with the ps work but on the whole I prefer the originals.

I think the soft edges are fine sometimes...depends on the image....it does give them a commercial feel I think, like ad copy

Enjoyed your photography. Excellent framing/composition and enjoyed your choice of subjects. I kind of get bored by every image being B&W w/colorization, and I don't care for the soft edges; your images would be better served by a better frame choice. But overall, I felt something looking at your gallery...and for me, it doesn't happen too often! :)
