Bangladesh is so interesting place to visit. Tourism almost does not exist in this country, therefore every tourist experience awful lot amount of staring and interest. It is impossible to blend in and every tourist feels like a celebrity. Here are some of the more interesting texts, uttered by Bangladeshi people: -Can i have some action for the photo please? (means: can I have a photo with you?) -1 piece please (buying something you have to state how many items you need, wherever it is a fruit or a bottle of water) -May I become familiar with you? -May I introduce myself? -How are you fine thank you? (said in one sentence). -What is the purpose of your visit? -What is your impression of Bangladesh? -You don't have an answer for this question? -Hello, this is my rickshaw. -Yes boss/good morning sir - room clean? -This one is no price (means: it's free) -No taka (no currency in ATM) -I like foreign men so much. This is my husband. -You're foreigner. You can stay longer with no charge. -May i pass some time with you? How is it possible? -Hello, follow me, follow my shop. Bangladeshi curiousity is virtually endless. Every day tourist have to face many questions: -What is the name of your country? -Your country? What is it's name? -What is your name? -Are you a student? -Are you married? -Why are you here? -Why have you come to Bangladesh? -What are you doing here? -Why are you photographing this? -What is your interest in this? -Bangladesh beautiful? ...and many many more. Despite a lot of energy required to travel, it is very nice place to visit. |
