While visiting friends in BC, I saw this slice of cedar from the tree in the background. At first glance, I thought it was on fire. Strange how a tree trunk can look so alive.
My wife's harp soundboard is made from Port Orford B.C. cedar, which is a rare and endangered species that can only be harvested from downed trees like this one. Neat shot, thank you. Phil
