A friend caught a really big Northern on incredibly light test line...right across the river here.
They had his picture in the newspaper. Pretty big deal for a 12 year old.
There used to be piers and boats docked here.
We'd stand in them and fish, nobody cared...if the owners came...
they'd just ask if anything was biting...and usually we'd say "just the mosquitoes".
Every once in a while we'd either fall out or get pushed out by our friends.
The water along the sides was really shallow.
