Yep I agree about this time of year, it was a pretty dark day...even for November. When I don't like shooting outside is when there's a really bright grey sky...seems the only thing helps that is a ND grad filter which I don't have. I've found a polarizer helps some on blue skies (if facing the right direction, as you know) Also found that if I meter on the sky, set my exposure compensation up just enough to not blow the highs, it's easier to pull the details out of the darks in processing. I'd probably shoot tricky exposures in RAW with the Canon, but this 8080 takes soooooo.....long on RAW files and 12mb too.Thanks for the comment.

Great details, Barri. One good thing about this time of year, the dull light keeps the highlights down. But still, this is perfect. I can peel bark in the darkest areas. Well done.
