Pillars of the Apocolypse

I was taking some photos of a railroad bridge, when a heavy, long frieght rolled over it going about 45 MPH. The supports creaked and groaned, the wheels of the train were squealing and clanking, the metal part of the bridge right above my head was deflecting probably an inch or two to each side, and the timbers would occasionally jump a little off the ground. I remember thinking, "this sounds like the end of the world".

You've done a good job expressing a sense of forboding in this image--the POV, the dark tones, the roughness of the textures.

Great capture, I can feel the whole bridge creaking and groaning. But be careful out there, Barri! "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine..." I think that if I got to choose how I wanted to leave this place, it'd be with the camera in my hand when I was out on a photo shoot. Maybe someone would find the photos on my memory card and have them published somewhere and I'd be a famous photographer after my death. That's what it's all about, isn't it? Fame and glory. You're already a famous photographer, so what's your next move? :)

Beautifully done Barri. I enjoyed the narrative as well.
