Yeah.. thinking, that does seem to be a good time estimate when looking at the old houses of the area. Even here in Atlanta, the street cars were running when I was young. The cables over many streets were actually used up into the 60's to run trolleys with, another thing which seems to have disappeared over night and replaced with buses. I'm not sure that was a good trade off with the price of fuel today, but I've heard California is going to make everyone replace tungsten bulbs with florescent now. I know it's energy conservative, but everything is becoming too sterile in appearance for my taste. Guess eventually, all traces of roots are going to be gone.

Hmmmm that is a good question. It does look like the windows on the part toward us are a different style than the building...and the windows on the right with the sills above and below. I remember this used to be a drug store at one time, and had a bunch of signs above the entry, It sort of looks as if that whole window area above the entry may have redone. It sure would have looked neat with rounded windows, or at least the ones with sills like on the side. I'd guess most of this to be from the early 1920's or so, but that is just an extremely uneducated guess. I know at one time there were street car tracks in the street in front, probably still there under the pavement. I saw them once when they were digging up the street, since I grew up not too awfully far from here

Any history on these buildings, Barri? They appear later than I'd first percieved from the curves in the upper secton, but squared window frames. I'm wondering if their was a period of renovation which throws off the era. It's one of those things that seems not quiet right, but can't put a finger on.
