Thanks to both of you. The way the leaves in the background turned out was a bit of luck, since I didn't do anything special to them in the conversion, if I remember. Sometimes luck helps more than a bit. But that B+W conversion process I found is astounding in the control it gives. I'm going to see where I got it. With the amount of stuff I have in my "favorites" about photography - may not be back 'til Thanksgiving.

Second what Jeanne says, it works well on this. Nice detail all the way through. Just shows your eye for variety in processing. Seems like I always find a little something new to look for when I view you shots. Always nice work, Tfs.

Absolutely gorgeous tonality here...the whites aren't blown out at all and the blacks are deep and velvety. Love this!
