Keep out

It amazes me that this short trail spur is constantly closed. The only reason I can see is that it's a CYA measure. People have to realize that there's an acceptable level of risk in any activity. The trail is NOT dangerous. I imagine that some day they'll feel the need to raise funds so that tourists can enjoy the park in trams. I'm glad that we first started visiting Silver Falls back in the days when it was legal to walk behind the roaring curtain of water (in season of course).

You are so right. Excellent photo and message, but too bad you had the opportunity to take it. V

Very sad...I would love to go behind to see the falls from that angle! Especially if it is safe! You would think they could construct some sort of short fence to prevent slipping over to allow people to continue on? bummer!

Sad, Stone Mt. State Park Is A big Park but have very few trails to see many beautiful
Places in the Park. We see a lot of them because do a lot off trail hiking to see them.
