The little red church is now the retirement home of my sister and her husband. The steeple could not be repaired so the roof is different now.

During one of my family's periodic trips to Withrow to visit my grandparents and other relatives in the early 1970s, I remember visiting that derelict tractor. I had brought a wrench with me to do a little dis-assembly on it to see what made it tick. It doesn't look an awful lot worse for the wear.

As for the Withrow store, I recall that during the summers in the 1970s I worked for my uncle and, during runs to town to dump the latest truckload of wheat during harvest, I would stop by the store when it was run by Jack and Marilyn Adams to get a pops and Idaho Spud candy bars.

Withrow's glory days are far behind it now, and even in the 1970s it was much more awake than now. The grain elevators of Withrow still see plenty of activity during wheat harvest, though.

Lol, Withrow is a nice little place. My dad was living there up until he passed away a little over 2 years ago. I plan on going back periodically since my brother now owns my Dad's place there. In fact, the old Withrow general store was his home. It once was also the town Tavern, post office and general store at on time. There is certainly some history to that old town. And some of it's history is still living there.
