This special lodge was built before their was a park here back in 1932. It was used as a hunting lodge till the park started up in 1938. It the " War" years, it was an army weather station/ look out for Japanese Places that may try to fly over the Olympics To Attack Seattle, Bremerton, Fort Lewis. Lodge is in danger of being washed away by the river which was changed course in the past 4 years...
