"Chukar " Near Summit Of Birch Mt.

Birch Mt.

These once plentyful birds are now seen less and less as their habitat becoming smaller and sage land is either being flooded with homes or used to grow food for our large population. The State of Washington population has more than doubled in 30 years. All the places I use to fish or hike, are now covered with homes ( most than likely " Trophy Homes" ) No one needs a 4,000sq. ft. home , but in Wenatchee Area , the hillsides are " Littered" with them plopped out in the middle of what was once a nice orchard. ( Of course , now they are growing more of our fruit overseas) I can foresee the day when all this bites us back as the whole thing " Implodes" on us....
