Monte at Sand Lake making coffee on Optimus 111B ( Feb, 2004)

Sand Lake Shelter PCT, Wash.

Making coffee inside Sand Lake Shelter which was under ten feet of snow. Old Optimus 111B is the stove of choice here. ( White Gas 10,000 btu stove was used on Denali through 60's till MSR type stoves took over in mid 70's)

Can you tell me what size the piston rod nut is on your 111B? I need to replace one and have not been able to determine the size. I think it is metric and maybe around the 5mm size but it has very fine thread. Thanks PS. Optimus was not much help.
