Hahahaha. In this photo, you do look a lot like David Crosby!

Thank you for posting all of these lovely photos of Washington. I'm a born and raised central WA gal. I grew up living in Wenatchee Valley from Dryden to Chelan, the child of apple knockers, a valley culture of immigrants from the Midwest and Ozarks that no longer exists as it did when I was born. I then lived in the Puget Sound all of my adult life (over 25 years); your shooting so many places in the state is wonderful for me because I've been to so many of them, and you've documented the exceptional geographical diversity of Washington, which no other state enjoys to such a degree.

Unfortunately, thanks to the tanked economy 10-12 years ago, I've been transplanted the last 8 years to AZ (hated Phoenix!) and now Alaska (increasingly dislike Alaska too). I Sorely miss home and my own people, thus, viewing your photos is bittersweet - pleasant and sad for me both at the same time because they give me joy while also increasing my longing for home. I can almost feel and smell the air of those places when I look at your photos, especially central WA. I see where you live, one of the most beautiful places imaginable. If I have to be isolated, I would rather be where you are than in Alaska! (<:

I really appreciate your eye, what intrigues you and how well you capture it. Especially your shots of old buildings sitting out in rural places really appeal to my love of history, my love of Pacific NW history especially, and the sadness I feel about that history and the tangible sense of it disappearing as our children's generation and those coming after them have no personal memories of any of it. I think the loss of barns all over the country is tragic from a historical preservationist point-of-view and I am therefore appreciative of those of you who take the time to capture their images before all of them are gone for good.

Again, thank you for sharing!

David Crosby's older brother took a hike into the Trinity Alps, and never returned...
