On October 06, 2005 a powerful earthquake hit Kashmir area in Pakistan. Around 100.000 people have died, more than 3 million were left homeless. There is so much help needed there to bring those people back to normal life.

salam , it reminds me of past, I was there for 40 days just after the earth quake , i have videos and pics too and hv seen this area with my own eyes called balakote which was 99% efected by EQ none of the buildings were standing properly , more damage was in kashmir more on north but the density of population was lesser there, this experience was one of the most unforgatable, we had camp on Chattapatta and we used to go on projects in these places from our own money and will, just we had the base camp supported by Karachi ppl with reference of Fakhr--e-alam.

Your photos show us how devastating and sad this earthquake was. I recently chatted online with a young man named Naseer who lost his entire family in Balakot. The mountains in the photos are so beautiful it is hard to imagine the pain and sadness that these people have endured. I will pray for the survivors of this quake and that they may find peace and joy once again! Salam!

Incredible shoots of these desastrous areas. Thanks to the photographers of it sharing the sadness of all these kind hearted people. I have just visited Balakot .the situation is much better there.I hope government will take further steps for to remove the povsrty of these areas

After watching the photo graphs we must think about the victems of earthquake and help them in any way and also consider this point that why nature chosed this area for that destruction ?

Hi , Maciekda, I really like your photos and the way you are doing in photogrpahy as a PJ, This porfolio - Pakistan 2006 is very impressive. In the photography angle, your ways are James Natchwey styles. It was not easy to make, to capture photos with the style like you're doing. Very excellent and very effective, very strong. I agree with Donald. This should be voted for if for no other reason than to remind people of the suffering happeing in Northern Pakistan which, unlike the Tsunami, has largely been forgotten about because it didn't affect tourist areas. However, all that said, this should be voted for anyway as a fantastic portrayal of human dignity and survival. I I think that you are doing an excellent job - the angles you've got together with the depth of field and the way you have used it have created a very poignant gallery. my congratulations. Angus
