Angkor tears

Angkor Wat, Cambodia

a little tourist crying near Angkor Wat... When I spotted this crying little girl in this hat I knew I had to take a picture of her... and there was just a second to get the shot... and I screwed up my chance... I didn't focus well - getting dark, shallow DOF, lack of time and as the result the focus accidentaly was on her arm... what a pity. anyway, that's how it looks like after a surgery Photoshop

This photo don`t need no words: it`s something wild and beautiful....painful also.Rovena, from Romania.

If you hadn't mentioned the focus issue, I would never even have noticed. The subject takes center stage, and technical details become very secondary.
I love your work Maciej - thank you for sharing with us!

Yes, I agree. The face tells the story so well the rest is insignificant. Wonderful.

The focus is quite proper after your surgery....In fact when the emotions are soooooo high, the focus hardly matters...i mean looking at her i feel sad...i guess that's how a portrait should be which tells a story and brings the emotions out.....great great work.
