Cambodia 2005 - a second visit

Photos from my second visit to that beautiful country, in July and August 2005. I was there before in April 2004. The country is changing, developing. In Siem Reap, which is the base of all tourists visiting Angkor Wat, there are so many new hotels and shops that I almost didn't recognize the city. Phnom Penh and Battambang are growing as well. But still, there is a lot of poverty in this country, lots of problems to be solved. Luckily, people are still the biggest gem of Cambodia.

Hi, Maciej Killing some evening time with a passage on Pbase, as I am in cambodia right now, so been thinking about you. Funny, I also have a photography block as well here, but who cares, the children are just fantastic amidst drab corruption and poverty ,for me they stay best part of the journey, just as they did last I came, in 97. "covering the dance schools" in Pnompenh for the next few days. Yeah... Siem reap, there was no tarmac on any street back in 97.....What a change! Hope you are well.

Some of your compos are amazing Maciej, but I wonder if you wouldn't have much more impact if you'd try to make a strict selection and make small galleries with your very best instead of this flood of images. But Yeah, I know...they're all pretty good and difficult to chose from..... give it a try though!
