I was happy enough to visit Cambodia a few years ago and it was a country of wonderful kind people and incredible monuments too, you can't miss. But I agree with the photographer that "the people are the biggest treasure of Cambodia", and these pictures get the best of them and are really stunning. Congratulations

I never made it to Cambodia coming from Bangkok. My travel agent and I ended up traveling together throughout Thailand instead. Your photos are beautiful, and I am distressed that I wasn't able to see it with my own eyes. The level of poverty in that country is just so sad. It must have been a difficult trip.

One of the best galleries I have seen of cambodia, you have done a great job to capture the true beauty of the country- it's people. I'm hoping to go back there to do some charity work in the future and I hope that the photos I take whilst there will be up to the excellent standard of work you have posted here. Now it's a shame that 70-200 f/4L costs as much as a flight to Cambodia!

I went to Angkor the end of last year, and I also taken some pictures. I didn't know anyone will be able to take such wonderful pictures in Cambodia until AMP introduce to me your gallery. In the persistant debate about photographic children in public places its so important to remember the wonderful life that is shown (as demonstrated here) and not dwell entirely on the most sinister member of our societies actions. love the photos they are amazing, i myself is a cambodian living in new zealand, my parents fleed to thailand during the war, losing many friends and family. i was born in thailand with my brothers and sisters. never been back due yet but it is for pilgrimage i will make. ATTENTION Excellent work, both technically and humanly. Which leads to a social question. If these kids were in America or UK, and they were White, would you be arrested and thrown in jail already? Especially being a "foreigner"? Why are American and UK kids "protected", but when they are Cambodian kids, it is not only OK, but a great great glory. Otherwise you would be murdered in jail for being accused of a perverted crime, in supposingly civilized societies like the USA. Are White people 1st-class citizen of the world when compared to Cambodian? These "fears" and subsequent laws are entirely pushed by the so-called "soccer moms" in the developed nations. Perhaps now we know, SOCCER MOMS are just another bunch of RACISTS, practically worse than the KKK. And just as stupid as the people in the KKK.

This one of the best stunning albums I had seen. Cambodian people are so beautiful even they are poor and have not any access to beautfies like we are in the western world. Such charming children. Congratulations on your pictures. Nicely done. I just want to remember every visitor that these images are very representative. They show what happens EVERY DAY in EVERY COUNTRY of the so called third world. The garbage dump series could be done in Brazil, Peru, Chile, Colombia, any country in Africa and a few in Asia. That�s just the way it is. What are they doing? Well... it depends. Sometimes they are trying to find things to sell. Sometimes something to bring to their homes, small furniture, thins like that. But usually, they are trying to find something TO EAT.

This gallery is quite different from your others, Maciek -- there is a bittersweet quality to these images that makes them linger in the imagination and underscores the poverty and sadness that defines this war ravaged country. While most visits to Angkor stress the splendor of its ancient temples, you focus on its people and their struggle to survive. Your work with the Digital Rebel is superb, but you do not seem to be quite as intimate as you seemed to be with your subjects when using the G3. I wonder how your move to a larger DSLR, which you must hold up to your eye in order to compose, has affected your approach to your work?
