30DEC06 - back to the park for some night photography and experimentation with color filters. We cut up some plastic and ignited the external flash for come cool effects at night! Great way to let 2006 slip into the moonlit night. Definately need more work on this technique. Also met a gentleman in the red Cruiser from Ohio on his first trip to the park. He was impressed so far!


Update: 16NOV06: Back to this beautiful park for a gropup shoot at Keys Ranch with the San Diego and Inland Empire DSLR clubs. Some of us camped out in Hidden Valley and we were treated to a sighting of a rare Desert Bighorn Sheep near Wall Street Mill. Great fun was had by all. First 55 or so are new images so far...


Update 08OCT06:Next 19 images: Went out to the park this weekend and try to capture the Hunters Moonrise. I decided to camp this time and shoot the moon from the top of Ryan Mountain. Aside from getting to the summit a little later than expected I did manage a couple of shots. The view is awesome and I highly recommend the hike up. An added bonus was for the first time in my life I saw the elusive Desert Bighorn Sheep. Three of them to be exact. Like most others I had the wrong lens on and once remedied I followed them about a half mile up a wash but never saw them again, oh well next time. That in itself made the whole trip worth it.

Update April 06: The First 30 images in this gallery are 2006 and then 2005. ...Keys ranch tour is still the best value. Caught a great sunset with some of the San Diego DSLR group. Thanks to Patsy, Diane, Loc & his wife and Kathy for a great time!
