Monarch

Monarch was sold by Ford of Canada from 1946–1957 and from 1959-1961.
It was identical to the Mercury in virtually every way except trim.
Production was stopped in 1958 due to the introduction of the Edsel,
which bombed spectacularly, so Monarch production re-started in 1959, finally to be discontinued in 1961.

And it looks like you have found a nice 1954 Lucerne to boot...and in 1955 we would see the Lincoln Futura which would so much like the Batmobile to follow.....braVo...Mike
