Southern Spreadwing and maybe a Northern

See comments on Northern vs. Southern Spreadwing identification in the species page here: Odonata Central
The Southern Spreadwing is more likely here but the Northern Spreadwing has been found in Kansas counties just 20 miles north.
Photos of the 9/08/2008 and 9/17/2008 specimens have been submitted to the Univ. Texas for confirmation.
The specimen from September 17 was found caught in a spider web in the garage. It was sent to the U. of Texas
where it was identified as a Southern Spreadwing.
