It is a tradition at Scarborough Faire to sing "The Parting Glass" at the end of each day. We sing this song with our arms around the people that we care about, the people we've frozen with, sweated with, laughed with, cried with, and even bled with. The song ends with these words:
But since it falls unto my lot,
That I should rise and you should not,
I gently rise and softly call,
Good night and joy be with you all.
This album is dedicated to those who have risen and gone ahead. We love you, we miss you, and we raise you to one more Parting Glass...
