This is where the standing water from melt-off, which is sheltered by our porch overhang, meets the actual snow. I suspect there's going to be some interesting flood patterns in the city when this all melts. The ground is pretty saturated from constant rain this winter, and I don't know if the locals realize how much water melt-off can generate since they're not used to dealing with snow in this quantity. Hopefully everyone is smart about it, though!
