Waiting for Winter.jpg

Texas

We have a woodpile in back of our house for use in our fireplace during winter. I was in the back, looking for things that might have enough texture visually for me to photograph when it caught my eye. Of the several shots that I took, two stood out to me. I used one here, for my challenge photo, and the other is shown in my Photo a Day gallery for August.

A lot of nice grain in this one...wood grain :o) The textures work really nicely.

I like all the little bits of fungus, they pick up the light well :)

The B&W brings out the textures of the wood, makes a good abstract!

Good choice...they look even better when aglow on a cold winter night.
