This weeks Challenge was 'A DRINK TO GET YOU IN THE MOOD FOR A HOLIDAY!, and though I'd considered various beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), I decided that good old-fashioned Freckled Lemonade was my choice. It just lends itself to sitting on a porch in a comfy chair with a good book, listening to the clink of the ice cubes in the glass and tasting the sweetness of fresh strawberries mingling with the tartness of lemonade as you lose yourself in the words on the pages in front of you.

(Edit for those who asked: Freckled lemonade is easy to make. Just make your favorite lemonade and slice fresh strawberries into it. Let the flavors mix for a few hours, til the lemonade starts to turn strawberry colored, then enjoy! It can also be made with other berry-type foods, and you can use frozen berries if it's not the season for fresh, but I like the taste of the fresh ones best!)
