The babies are about 6 inches long and have bright stripes. There is one on Mom's head, one on her back and one on the tail.
Brazos Bend is across the river from Sugar Land, about a 40 minute drive. The park gets tourist from around the world
because of the alligator population, magnificent oaks, swamp and an amazing collection of birds.

Brazos Bend State Park is a 4,897-acre state park along the Brazos River. The park is a haven for a diverse mix of native wildlife
and plants covering an equally diverse range of ecosystems. Brazos Bend contains areas of coastal prairie, bottomland forest,

Highlights of the Park's numerous inhabitants include over 300 species of resident and visiting migratory birds and mammals.
The most noteworthy and popular residents of the park are the relatively large population of American alligators.
