June 27

Sugar Land, Texas

Very sad. We lost two of our black vultures over the weekend. When I got to work, I saw them.
One dead in the parking lot and the other nearby in the grass.
Electrocuted by the power pole. One of the dead was this year's baby that just started flying two weeks ago.
The other was one of the parents. The photo below is from last year. One of the parents was electrocuted on the power pole.
Everyone in the office was depressed. We watch them grow up and learn to fly and then this...

So sad! It seems like something could be done to prevent that.

Aw, that's sad. Isn't there some sort of guard they can add to keep them from the danger?

So sorry to see this. All this electrical wiring should be underground. Criminal to have it exposed like this.

Oh, I'm so sorry to see this. I had followed your stories about the vultures with interest. Pretty dangerous looking electrical pole, I must say.
