JUNE 3

Sugar Land, TX

It makes me sad.
My new 4Runner in the foreground, and my 19 year old 4Runner behind. Tomorrow I take the old girl to her new Owner.
I'm not excited about the new truck at all. I love the high ground clearance, the deep growly motor, and bumpy ride
of my old truck. A true Off Road vehicle. She never broke down once. I never had to spend a lot of money on her
except for routine maintenance.
I think I'm going to cry when I sign the title.

I like your new set of wheels - hope you get 19 years out of her too - don't see many 19 year old vehicles on the road over here.

Oh Lynn - I can understand your feelings. Although I'm not a car lover, it must be a similar feeling, like to give a pet away after so many years.
Cheer up Lynn - good luck with the new one!

Your old one does look good and I know just how you feel. Did you interview the new owner to see if it is getting a good home?

You were very lucky to 19 years without a breakdown with your old truck, Lynn!! The new one looks like a real beast and rather bigger than your old truck. Great shot of both to see there comparisons!BV

That's a beautiful new vehicle. I know what you mean though about faithful old friends since I drive a 15 year old car myself that I can't seem to part with. You'll come to love your new one, I'm sure. V.

Hopefully you'll feel differently in a few days. :-)

I know the feeling, my wife had me sell mine after 10 years! Hardly a scratch, and never had any mechanical ptoblems, they are fun vehicules.

I can understand how you feel. One forms a certain attachment and the new ride always feels so different. I also wonder if the new one will last 19 years. Seems cars have become disposable items like so many other consumer products. Still enjoy, happy trails and safe journeys.

19 years old... Just like sending a kid off on their own.
Wow, 19 years... Thats impressive

You'll learn to love your new 4-Runner, too. What I'd cry about is the difference in price 19 years makes!!
Best to you,
Dick:)

Nice looking SUV! It is definitely hard letting a reliable car go!
