But I worked in sales in a past life, and I know the tricks and pitfalls.

I buy cars over the phone/internet now. My truck I bought in October 2011- I had three salesmen spinning themselves INTO a frothy mess over my deal. I was an ass. I was "almost", I say almost embarassed by my behavior. Your not my friend, not my buddy, dont care about you. Nope just sell me my car. I had no trade and my financing was done at my bank. I'd call one dealer up, then the second, then the third adn hang up on all of em- I ended up taking an addtl 2400 bucks out of the deal. Never test drove the truck, showed up at 9:30 on a Saturday Am and was on the road by 10:15. I refuse to play games-

what makes me laugh, is that the one you want, is the last one of that kind, only to find 12 of them at the next garage. :)

I think the only thing more fun is a sharp stick in the eye... Must have been hard to part with your old faithful. Good for you on the negotiations. Now for the good part -- enjoy!
