This morning, Developers blew up several of the old buildings at the Imperial Sugar Mill. The red brick char house is all that is left now.
Sad to see the mill go. Our town, Sugar Land, was started as the company town for the mill in the 1800s. The mill built the original homes and ran a company store.
Now, the buyers will build condos and shops.
