This little bug brought back some memories.
We would chase the grasshoppers in the vacant yard behind the gas station. You have to be careful how you catch them, because they spit "tobacco"!

on my trip back from Queensland to Melbourne I had to drive through a cloud of grasshoppers I know now what they are in real life...a plague Great catch and capture!

I didn't know grasshoppers chewed tobacco....LOL! Love your story. Can't think we ever did that but we did blow up a few with fire crackers.
