LOCKHEED P-38 GLACIER GIRL

Ellington Field Houston TX

This WWII fighter plane was recovered from beneath 250 ft. of glacier ice. She crashed in Greenland in 1942 and was exhumed in 1992.
Of the 10,000+ P-38s constructed, only 34 are still flying today. For a very interesting story on the Glacier Girl,
