This was truly a trip of a lifetime - except that as we didn't get to see The Horn due to an incredibly bad storm, so we will have to go back and do it again someday!
Jim and I flew down to Buenos Aires in early December; we were meeting Andrew, Jamie’s best friend, and his girlfriend Kelly there. They had just flown over from a 4 month exploration of Europe and were now ready to explore South America for the next 4 months! Oh to be young again...
After a few days in Buenos Aires, the four of us would board Holland America's Veendam for a lovely sail-around the tip of South America from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile. And seas-willing, stopping for a day in the Falklands, something I was sure excited about!
