Maasai Mara to Lake Manyara, TZ May 27, 2013

We were up early again today and out by 8:15 on the game run looking for more animals en route to the airstrip.
On this run we saw:
waterbuck, Maasai giraffe, 2 lions on a log, elephant, giraffe, cape buffalo, baboon, vervet monkeys, and a cheetah under a tree (sounds like a Christmas song!)
We didn't really want to leave the Mara, but there were animals to visit in Tanzania too! Three flights and a short drive later we were in Arusha, settling down to a wonderful Indian buffet lunch at the New Arusha Hotel with our driver guide, Maji and our safari director Elias.
From here, we had a rather long-drawn out drive to Lake Manyara - the road was under construction & we were delayed, not arriving until just about 8:30 in the evening. It was however, in time for our delicious private supper on the escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara!
