Over the next few days we would enjoy seeing the city with a wonderful local private guide - Vanessa Vasquez. We would explore on foot for a short bit, but mostly with the services of a driver, Raul Gutierrez who was hired by Vanessa for us.
Today we would drive through Miraflores, walk around the downtown area, drive to the Plaza San Martin, explore the Hotel Gran Bolivar, and continue on to explore the Iglesia de San Francisco. After lunch in the Barranco area, we would then visit the zoo (what can I say, I wanted to see the indigenous animals!) before going back to our hotel for supper.
