I spent over twenty-five years doing lion and some dragon dancing. I am now retired from lion dancing but still feel the spirit when I see lion and dragon dancing. These are images I've taken since going digital in 2002. Rather than the typical images you usually see of lion and dragon dancing, I wanted to capture the essence of what it is really like to be doing the lion and dragon dance. I chose to do this series in black and white. Somehow when viewed in color, the intention is lost with the beautiful colors.
