World's tallest skyscraper, under construction in Dubai,
United Arab Emirates, by Emaar Properties.
Its final height is officially being kept a secret due to competition.
As of 10th June 2007 the Burj Dubai was at 134 stories (about 484.1m) tall.
The tower is designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill,
who also designed the Sears Tower in Chicago and the Freedom Tower in New York City,
among numerous other famous high-rises.

It is official now: Burj Dubai is "World's Tallest Free-Standing Structure

ON 4th January 2010 Burj Dubai is officially inaugurated by the Ruler of Dubai H.H.Sheikh Mohamed.
He re-named the building as "Burj Khalifa" after the president of the United Arab Emirates...H.H Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The height of the tower is 828 Meters.
