For the past few months I have been very busy trying to learn a new language and prove that I am competent in my mother tongue. For this reason (mainly) I have not been very active here on Pbase. I sat the first exam today, and my second (and last) exam is three weeks away yet (and it is not particularly challenging). So you may be hearing a little more from me over the next few days.

After my exam today, I caught the bus home. As we passed a junction, a car drove straight out of a side road and into the side of the bus. There was nothing the driver could do to avoid the collision but stand scratching his head as he asked the car's driver how she could possibly not see his rather large and brightly coloured vehicle!

Yes, it is rather a large flagpole to attach to the bonnet (hood) of a car (just thought I'd say it before any of you do!)
