676. Burnt out wreck

10 May 2006

I was walking through the abandoned grounds of the long-demolished Baldovan House, when I came across this burnt out car. The grounds of the big house have been left to return to nature for several decades now, and make for a lovely woodland walk... apart from the burnt out cars, that is.

The filtered light makes this a stunning portrait in spite of the wreck.

I really like the lighting, Stu. I actually did this to a new car one night back in the 80's. Rekindling past mistakes can be enlightening in a weird way...:) BTW, it took about ten minutes for the car to go from brand new to what you have depicted.

Wonderful find and lighting... -- the angle almost makes it look alive...
