I managed to make it to the flat in Lisbon without incident - no stone throwing yobs to greet me this time. I was quite relieved about that, it has to be said. Having to work with a Stone Age laptop: it's slower than Neil Lennon, and not very well suited to anything but the most basic task... like switching itself on. Ask it to do anything - like open a basic Word document - and you can safely go have a cup of tea and a biscuit, and it will probably only just have loaded by the time you have finished. Ask it to do anything photography related, and you need to start yesterday, and it might just get round to it tomorrow. Just resizing this image and adding the text took almost an hour - so imagine what it will be like when I have 40-50 images all in desperate need of tittivation! I'll be back in Scotland before the first one is ready. Anyway... I passed through Edinburgh on my way here, and that is where I saw this piper... piping for the tourists (I gave him a few coins - large denomination coins at that - for letting me take his photograph. I hope you appreciate my largesse).
This time last year we went for a lovely walk up Auchterhouse Hill
