Piper

I managed to make it to the flat in Lisbon without incident - no stone throwing yobs to greet me this time. I was quite relieved about that, it has to be said. Having to work with a Stone Age laptop: it's slower than Neil Lennon, and not very well suited to anything but the most basic task... like switching itself on. Ask it to do anything - like open a basic Word document - and you can safely go have a cup of tea and a biscuit, and it will probably only just have loaded by the time you have finished. Ask it to do anything photography related, and you need to start yesterday, and it might just get round to it tomorrow. Just resizing this image and adding the text took almost an hour - so imagine what it will be like when I have 40-50 images all in desperate need of tittivation! I'll be back in Scotland before the first one is ready. Anyway... I passed through Edinburgh on my way here, and that is where I saw this piper... piping for the tourists (I gave him a few coins - large denomination coins at that - for letting me take his photograph. I hope you appreciate my largesse).

This time last year we went for a lovely walk up Auchterhouse Hill

A bit of Scotland to accompany you on your travels.
You sure about it being slower than Neil Lennon ;-)

Welcome to the Luddite IT club. It's challenging, but rewarding. Sounds like you've got a very similar PC to mine!

Super shot. Are those tombstones in the background? That would be appropriate as I always associate bagpipes with funerals.

Jeremy beat me to it again, but I'll continue:
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side

I love the sound coming thru your old computer Stu.

The pipes, they are a calling.

I much appreciate your generosity. Excellent scene and I can hear the pipes clear over here. Good work.

Yes, I appreciate your largesse. Love the bagpipe music, too.

I was away to say... I'd recognise that polluted sandstone look and tourist trap a mile off!
