Wish list

8 August 2004

110.
Wayhey... the footie season has started again, and boy what a start. Rangers, our only rivals for the title, draw 0-0 at Aberdeen, while my beloved Celtic beat Motherwell 2-0. Perhaps I shouldn't speak too soon, afterall, last year Celtic started with a draw while Rangers won... and Celtic went on to win the league by a huge margin. Still. It's nice to start the season on a positive note. The PaD is a picture of the thing I wish some philanthropic benefactor would buy me, as it would be a great help in my endeavour to photograph some of Scotland's less accessible castles (of which there are a great many). You never know... you Pbasers are a very nice lot... ;-)

Trolly..how interesting..ours here for a internet purchase is cart.

Second I almost purposely found myself wanting to ram my car into a RV with a sticker vote for Bush..so this is one American you can depend on for a NO vote.

Thirdly, after reading Maicke request for help in re purchasing equipment- well decided charitable causes such as money for the poverty stricken persons posted in his galleries are pulling at my heartstrings.

Forth..I will close my eyes and send prayers that some will send you such a nice gift and while I am at it..a SLR for me. ;)

You're still a nice bunch, even if you are a bit stingy ;-). Still, as long as you're contributing to eject the warmonger Bush, then I won't complain.

Wow.. guess we aren't that generous...I'd help, but I think I've just bought another house and I'm tapped; BTW, a handsome and dapper man by the name of Tom Brewster from your fair isle came the US to judge the National Clydesdale Show which is at the Wisconsin State Fair Park this week. He reminded me of my dad as he stood by and looked 'em over..

Nothing wrong with dreaming.

Come on, you can wish harder than that :-)

Yeah, well. In the 'new front brakes for the car' vs. 'digital camera' category, the camera won out last time, but the brake situation is now critical. If I opt for chipping into the 'poor SLJ fund' (did that check not come through? Heh. ;^) ) I A) will still not have a tele-lens of my very own, and B) may find myself much closer to objects than I intend, in which case I will not need a tele-lens, or worse case will not ever need anything again. Oh, and there is that opposition fund. yes.

Rats, looks like I'm third in that list for handouts, from the womderful and generous PaDers around :)

Stewart, I was all set to contribute until I read Pete's comment, then I changed my mind. She reminded me that I have a list, too!! LOL :)-

Damn ... last week I could have sprung ... but alas :)
Guest 08-Aug-2004 22:57
Well, I wish I could be your benefactoress, but all my spare change is going to the opposition party here in the USof A.
Your camera is doing great things all by itself--with a little help from you.
